The final week in March was, as suspected, dominated by Mother's Day Gift Baskets. The bulk of these shipped out between Wednesday and Friday, and there was still a healthy sprinkling of other occasions such as birthdays and get wells.Monday, for example, saw our Toys For Boys Gift Basket featuring as 'Basket of the Day'. This gift was ordered for a little boy in London on his 6th birthday, from his Auntie, Uncle and cousins in Cambodia. Featuring all the things little boys this age love - a racing car construction set, Avengers memory game, Spiderman jigsaw, Angry Birds activity pack, a cute Meerkat teddy and some sweeties and a lollipop.Tuesday saw the first of the Mother's Day Gifts to begin to ship out, with this Thoughtful Mothers Day Gift kicking things off. This is from our floral range of Mother's Day gifts, as you can see from the pretty potted rose plant included. This goes alongside a basket of treats, both food and non food. Flapjacks, fruit crisps, muffins, chocolate teabags and lemonade are combined with a 'Mum' mug, wooden plaques, candle  and balloon. We really do put so much thought into the creation of our gift baskets, with each item being carefully selected as part of the overall gift. So it is thoughtful from us and therefore thoughtful from you.Wednesday was incredibly busy with lots of Gifts For Mum so we decided to bring you a photo collage of everything that was going on, rather than focusing on one particular type of gift for mums. Not forgetting all the Granny's out there either, as we had plenty of gift cards wishing Grandmother's a lovely day too. They are quite often childminders as well as Grandparents these days & so deserve an extra special reward. The collage gives you an idea of the scale of things and shows just how attractive the gift baskets are. They are wrapped with gorgeous, rich ribbon and accompanied by pretty flowering rose plants and cute balloons. For Thursday we switched things up slightly and featured our "Funny Fruit" Gift Basket for sick children. We used to offer a similar basket back in 2010, so when a concerned Auntie got in touch wishing to send a fruit basket to her poorly niece we knew just the get well gift to resurrect. We were able to show her the old, original photo and then take a new photo of the updated version. She said it brought tears to her eyes to see it, and that her little niece was incredibly happy to receive it. We had to work very quickly too, as her Auntie didn't get in touch until after the 3.30pm next day delivery cut off point. Luckily we were able to quickly assemble the contents while she placed the order. This meant it was able to arrive on Friday, rather than a Saturday upgrade or having to wait until Tuesday due to the fresh fruit component.Friday featured another colourful collage as lots more Gifts for Mother's Day were shipped out on the special Saturday delivery service. Unfortunately the couriers in the UK and Ireland do not treat Saturday as a normal delivery day and so the charge extra for this. It is a handy option though if the gift is very time sensitive and needs to arrive in time for the big occasion. As always this is only a small cross section of the gift baskets we dispatch everyday, and we love to create new, unique baskets if you have a more unusual reason or occasion to send a gift for.
