This was another week I missed as I think back to sunnier times on holiday in Spain. Although the weather now on the Costa Blanca is very dangerous indeed with flash flooding & medicanes. We hope everyone there is OK and there isn't too much damage. 'Thinking of You' or 'Sorry to Hear' are sayings we read quite frequently on our gift basket orders. In fact Monday's Baked Blessings Basket had a message attached beginning with "We were sorry to hear about...." as it is themed with a Sympathy Cake and Gift card to reflect the sentiments of the occasion. This was ordered by a family in Australia for their Grandad, to let him know that even though they are many miles away they are thinking of him at this sad time and hope to visit soon.Tuesday's choice was for the opposite reason, to celebrate a birth. Our Mummy & Me Hamper is one of our best sellers and is available for a baby girl or baby boy. Inside are a few special things for the new mummy and a few for the new baby too. Mum gets to enjoy some bath soak and a big box of chocolates, while baby receives a bodysuit, comfort blankie and a cute rattle.I love the Keeping It Real Energy Gift Basket as while it contains lots of fresh fruit and healthy ingredients, there are also some tasty treats such as real fruit jellies and dark chocolate. We can't be good all the time after all. High grade cocoa contents, real fruit pulp and natural colouring and flavours at least negates some of the guilty feeling associated with such luxuries! This one was ordered to a production company in Ilford to celebrate the start of filming of a new project.Who couldn't resist this little cuddly friend? I loved the gift card message that accompanied this one - "Payback for all the care packages you have sent to us. A little treat yourself cause you deserve it. Lots of love xx." This sums the gift basket up carefully, a little care package for a mum back home in Ireland who normally sends gifts/care packages to her son and daughter-in-law in Australia. We think she'll enjoy cozying up with a magazine, hot chocolate, a selection of sweets treats and the hottie microwavable bunny. We were closed on Friday for some staff training ahead of the Bank Holiday on Monday. No deliveries take place on Bank Holidays and so we wouldn't have been able to ship many gifts out anyway. There was quite a theme of celebrations this week when I look back over the occasions we delivered gift baskets for. We had celebrations of life, celebrations of birth, celebrations of a new venture and 'just because you care' celebrations. It just goes to show that Celebration Gifts don't have to be champagne and chocolates. They can be whatever you want them to be and we will theme it for you with an appropriate gift card and ribbon. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to create a special celebration gift.
