Video is a great way to showcase what we do here at BasketsGalore, but it also takes quite a while to shoot, edit and put together when doing it in-house.Over the years we've managed to amass about 50 videos on our You Tube channel, and in recent years we've included some on our website to give you an insight into each of our main gift categories; Gift Hampers, Gift Baskets, Christmas Hampers, Birthday, Fruit & Flowers, Baby, Gifts For Occasions & Get Well.Screenshot 2016-04-01 12.31.47In the early days the videos were pretty basic & unedited so we had to get it right in one take - tricky! We've since progressed with various cameras and video software and I recently found some easy peasy software for "dummies" that even I can use to combine still and moving images and to add subtitles and music. I use this to put together fun videos for our social media sites, but we're also keen to create more slick, promotional videos as well and run with 2 styles.Last week Laura, our designer, called a brainstorming meeting as she intends to update all our company videos and streamline them somewhat. Before the meeting she sent a shared document round for everyone to fill in some potential video ideas. It was fun to read what everyone came up with & then at the meeting we were able to decide on a strategy and theme for each one.Laura is now working on the first one, and then we'll regroup to see how she's getting on & what input she needs from the rest of us. We can't wait to see the results over the next few months. Are you a bit of a wizz with video footage and editing? Which project are you most proud of?
