I don't know about you but preparing for a holiday can be a somewhat stressful experience, especially when taking young children/babies with you. I'm very excited to be going on a family holiday to somewhat sunnier climes, although the past few weeks haven't been too shabby here at all. It's my youngest sons first holiday abroad as he's only 9 months, so we're not quite sure what he will make of it. Hopefully all the sun and swimming will tire him out and he'll start sleeping through the night! To get in the holiday mood I managed to book some "me time" to get my nails painted and a bit of waxing done. I've also been trying to build up a bit of a fake tan before I have to reveal my pasty, mum-bod to the world, or the people in Tenerife at least! It made me think a Pre-Holiday Gift Package might be a good idea and into it we could put all the things a poor, stressed out mum would need but not necessarily have time to get for herself for holiday. We're too busy packing for everyone else in the family usually! Although that might be very sexist and a lot of dads might also require something similar, but much more manly of course. I think I would put in some wine and chocolates (to nibble on amid the packing frenzy) a magazine or book to take with me (although I estimate my chance of reading anything at approximately 0%), some false tan, nail polish, exfoliator, moisturiser and dry shampoo (although we have had an incident with sending these via courier before.) For the men, some foot scrub, a face mask and back scratcher - perfect! Some of our current pampering gift baskets come pretty close to the mark, so with the addition of those summer time special items I think we could be onto something here! I've also included a basket from our Children's Range as the contents would be perfect for entertaining them while travelling, a good book, a puzzle/game, colouring/activity book, chocolate and a cuddly friend to cosy up with!
