Our customer base spans the circumference of the globe. Individuals rely on us to send a special sentiment to their loved ones and friends year round but when it comes to Christmas it is especially important that their gifts arrive on time and without a hitch. With such a wide array of customers from all over the world, this year we decided to take a look at customers from different countries, their orders, reviews of our products and also a little bit about each country.First up, South Africa!...Leona purchased two Christmas Festive Surprise basket’s for her family who reside in the English countryside. The Christmas Festive Surprise is a large hamper brimming with mouth watering hand carved ham and smoked bacon alongside delightfully tangy chutneys and preserves as well as an array of sweet treats... something to suit everyone's personal preference.Leona kindly left us a review reading - ‘Thank you for delivering on time, to my daughter and family in the UK, for them to have Christmas gifts on Christmas morning. I was pleased that the gifts were exactly what I ordered and they were thrilled.’ from Leona Baker (South Africa)From Leona’s review you can see how much our service means to her, making it possible for her family to receive a heartfelt gift on Christmas morning.Although South Africa is 5609 miles from London Christmas is not all that different over there… well, apart from the weather!Christmas trees are put up, stockings are left out for Santa and a traditional turkey is devoured on Christmas day! Where as we would follow our festive feast with a traditional christmas pudding or a bite of pavlova, cheesecake or something similar - in South Africa they have Malva pudding for afters. Malva Pudding (sometimes known as Lekki Pudding) is a spongey pudding (similar to sticky toffee) laced with apricot jam and saturated in creamy custard. While we all gather around our dining room table for Christmas dinner it is not quite the same in SA. While December in the UK is the middle of winter and it is blistering cold, Christmas is bang in the middle of the summer in South Africa. With an average temperature of 27 degrees Celsius many residents gather their family to eat christmas dinner in the back garden!Fun facts about South Africa-South Africa is the only country to host the football, rugby and cricket world cup!- It has 11 official languages including Zulu, Afrikaans, Xhosa and English.- South Africa's coastline stretches over 2500 kilometres (1553 miles) in length.- Although the country only makes up about one percent of the Earth’s land surface, it’s home to almost ten percent of the world’s known bird, fish and plant species, and about six percent of its mammal and reptile species.- South Africa has three capital cities, Cape Town, Bloemfontein and Pretoria.
