It's been a while since my last Daily Dispatch blog as last Monday was a bank holiday & the Monday before I had the day off as I'd just moved house. It was all hands on deck in the warehouse today as we have a couple of people off sick and some on holiday, but luckily we can rotate roles to help out when needed.Pawel was on a mission with his food hampers & first up is our popular Gourmande Irlandais with a couple of items replaced (pasta & ginger beer for jam and marmalade). It's more difficult to photograph hampers as they are packed in layers, but I've done my best to try and show everything within. I've also included a shot of it all wrapped up. This hamper was for a special wedding anniversary for a couple in Dublin 6, from a family member in Germany. She even paid extra to have a specific delivery slot tomorrow, to ensure the recipients are home for the delivery.I was pleased to see a couple of Create Your Own hampers being assembled today too, as you know by now they are my favourites! I just love to see what items our customers put together for their loved ones. This unusual combination included lots of sweet treats - chocolates, cupcakes & lemonade and some savoury snacks - olives, nuts and crisps. It was also combined with a remote control helicopter and Men's Health magazine. The sender in the US said they were sorry they couldn't be there to help, but hoped that these items would.CYO 803647My final hamper choice was another CYO from a very thankful lady in Sheffield. She selected an upgraded gift card & wrote a lovely long message to the recipients in Alford to thank them for looking after her pet dogs (she also indicated one of them is hard work!) She selected gorgeous smoked salmon, ham, cheese, chocolates, cake and biscuits and included a "Superstar" and "Me Time" mug and No 1 medallion for each of them.
