When we were away over the Easter weekend we stayed in a beautiful lodge, located in the grounds of a popular hotel. The lodge had everything you could wish for in terms of a holiday home, with the exception of one thing - a bath.
I think this was probably because of space, as they had managed to fit 5 en-suite rooms into the design of the new lodge. Then there would also be the issue of who got that room, as there was no separate bathroom. Having no bath probably wouldn't bother most people on holiday, as you are too busy enjoying yourself to have time for a bath perhaps. We just noticed it because we had our 8 month old baby with us, who is used to a bath, and my mother-in-law also prefers a bath! While she simply had a shower instead, little Theo ended up in the kitchen sink & really quite enjoyed it!
Although we have a bath at home, it's really our sons who use it most. The odd time I get a moment to myself however, it's so relaxing to draw a bath, light some candles and then just lie back and relax. When I came into work one day recently, I could smell a really lovely scent and upon locating the source of this scent it appeared to be coming from a bar of chocolate. Could this lovely floral scent be from chocolate? It was only when I flipped the bars over, I realised they were in fact new candle melts. They really did smell good enough to eat!
Bath melts make great additions to our Pampering Gift Baskets as they smell great, look great and really promote a sense of pampering and relaxation. We've been using really beautiful ones from Wild Olive over the last few years, and they are just gorgeous. They look like individual cupcakes, and come in a wide range of varieties. We started off offering the Luxury Collection, and have since added the Cocktail Party selection and Pamper Party set. You can also now add them to your gift basket on an individual basis on our "Create Your Own" gift basket site, if you are working to a budget. Wild Olive describe themselves as "A small family run company dedicated to making hand made soaps, candles and body products in Derbyshire. Quality, sustainability and great service make us who we are."
Now, back to the candle melts, which I soon discovered were produced by Pintail Candles. We started stocking their "Special Message" candles which as themed for a birthday or person and so make a lovely addition to our gift baskets. "Pintail Candles is now firmly established as one of the UK’s premium candle makers with a reputation for developing fine fragrances and candles in fashionable colours, classic styling and at accessible prices."
Their candle melts release the fabulous scent when you break off some of the wax melt cubes and place in a tea light oil burner or electric melt burner. They provides up to 60 hours of fragrance too which is fantastic. The fragrances we stock are 'Linen & White Pepper' and 'Summer Fruit & Prosecco'.
Have you tried bath and/or candle melts before? What was your opinion? Or do you prefer another type of bath product?
