When Andrea was planning her wedding, 6 years ago now, she really wanted a chocolate fountain so her guests could have a selection of fruit such as strawberries, melon and grapes together with marshmallows to smother with chocolate for their dessert. We even put down a deposit on one when at a wedding fair. However, the venue refused to allow such a thing and we had to cancel it.Fast forward to last Christmas (2015), shopping in TK Maxx, I spotted chocolate fountain sets at a very reasonable price and got one each for Lynne and Andrea. It was Katherine's 4th birthday on Saturday and we tried out the fountain for the first time. Rather than melt chocolate, however, we used our Exquisite Chocolate Sauce from Ballyshiel and it was a huge success. No time was wasted getting the chocolate to the correct consistency while hungry children were waiting, they could just dive right in and enjoy. Delicious! As you can see, the 'Birthday Girl' still managed to squeeze some chocolate cake in too and her favourite presents were a doll with lovely long hair, and a make up kit.If I was choosing one of our children's birthday gift baskets for Katherine, it would probably be the "Fashionista" one as she is so grown up already!Fashionista
