Fine English Wine

England is not exactly a leading region within the world for producing fine wines, that’s why we have decided to include some delightful wine’s from right on our door step to this years Christmas hampers. Take a look into some of England's finest wine producers whose grape could revival some of  the biggest names in the industry.

Founded in 1996 and located in the heart of Surrey, Denbie’s is the UK best selling wine that is produced in England. The geology of the ground such as the chalky soil and south facing slopes make it the ideal location for Britain's largest vineyard. The fifteen different grape varieties are grown on 4 different plots of lands across the vineyard. The soil across each plot varies dramatically when it comes to soil type, altitude, sloping gradient etc gives each plot and each grape a very unique and distinct taste which is reflected within the wines produced. Denbie’s only uses grapes produced from within their surrey estate, meaning they can quality control from vine to bottle at every single stage. All wines produced within the estate under go a rigorous testing from independent laboratories implemented by the English Quality Wine Scheme.

Lyme Bay winery

Lyme Bay is a small winery which can be found in the English West Country. Lyme Bay pride themselves on pushing the boundaries of the wine industry, using their own creative flair to create unique fruit wines. The winery’s bold moves have not gone unnoticed - with them winning 35 awards in 2016 alone! Recently the winery got given a grade A title in British retail consortium global standard, making them the only winery in the UK to receive this prodigious accolade. Although they are a winery, Lyme Bay also specialise in ciders, mead's and fruit liquors. All of the alcoholic beverages that belong to Lyme Bay are fermented, blended and aged at the winery by their dedicated wine making team using local ingredients.

English wine may not be world renowned but we can guarantee it is delightful! If you are looking for a basket with a bit of edge, not something other gift basket companies tend to sell and a gift that not very many people would not be expecting to receive then these are the hampers for you. Send your loved one a hamper of goodies produced on their own door step, that will really blow their socks off this Christmas.
