We were having a discussion this lunchtime about how much we spend on a gift for our mums at Mother's Day. In the office it seemed to average out at about £50 and this surprised me as I don't remember ever spending more than about £10 for my own mum, but I expect that's inflation for you. Sadly Mum passed away about 7 years ago and I know she loved being spoiled on this special occasion so I'm really glad I always made the effort. My favourite present is a Spring planter already blooming or else a gift voucher for our local Garden Centre.  Lynne loves her girls to make her pretty craft pictures of their favourite flowers, insects and even fairies.  Andrea wants Rowan to take her swimming and then out for ice-cream. (Hold on there who is this present really for, sounds suspiciously like Rowan's favourite treat!)  I think he might need a little help from daddy!  Laura is thinking about a Mother's Day Gift Basket!  Roma's mum lives so far away that she usually sends her flowers.  Victoria clubbed together with her sister and got her  mum a Royal Albert Cake Stand that she wanted last year, but when it arrived the box was missing and the postal box has been damaged so they had to send it back. Jonny doesn't usually bother about a Mother's Day present, but this year is going to be different after all he is working in the best (and handiest) Gift Basket Company now!  Kate has a mum who thinks that flowers are a waste of money, plants are a nuisance to look after, toiletries are banned as she has too many already and if you buy her clothes she returns them and buys something for you instead.  I would say she is a perfect candidate for a gift basket from BasketsGalore.co.uk, wouldn't you? We promise she definitely won't want to return it!Our Mother's Day Gift Baskets start from just £39.99 and there are lots to choose from including food themed ones, pampering ones, floral ones or a mixture of all three.
