Last month ended with a special occasion for the BasketsGalore Family.  Baby Rowan was Christened on Sunday and he was a little 'star'.  All dressed up in his little soft white shirt and waistcoat ensemble he took it all in his stride and didn't even object to a strangely dressed man pouring Holy Water over his head.  With mum Andrea being so busy at BasketsGalore first with Christmas, then Mother's Day and finally Easter it wasn't until Rowan was nearly 7 months old that the Christening could finally take place.  Andrea's worry that Rowan might object to strangers was unfounded.  He let the minister carry him around the church, to introduce him,  looking around and taking it all in. He even managed a smile or two.Afterwards we had a celebration lunch at Frankies in Main Street, Bangor and Rowan was able to recharge his batteries with a nap while we all ate lovely soup, sandwiches, sausage rolls and afterwards coffee & Christening cake.  It was a lovely spread.  Afterwards Rowan stuck with his bottle before photos galore were taken as everyone wanted a picture with the lovely boy all dressed up.  Doesn't he look cute?  Not to be outdone by a boy, Rowan's cousins Annabel and Katherine showed off their pretty dresses and new white sandals for the photos too!rowan christening 2 Rowan christening 1Afterwards it was time for Rowan and his mummy to open his many presents.  BasketsGalore has examples of Christening/Naming Ceremony Gifts which you may like for your little one's big day:-  Little Baby , Hello Baby or Baby Arrival which you can personalise with a special Christening item from our Create Your Own Baby Basket Range:- Baby's Christening Album, a Christening Certificate Holder, All my Precious Things Box Set, or a Wooden Record Book.Having gained inspiration from some of Rowan's lovely personalised gifts, we are currently in the process or designing some Speciality Christening/Naming Ceremony Baskets as well so watch out for these in the not too distant future!
