BasketsGalore - Once An Alternative To Flowers, Now A Special Feature!
BasketsGalore was originally set up as an alternative to fresh cut flowers, however, there are certain occasions/times, i.e Mother’s Day or With Sympathy where we feel that a floral token is appropriate. Bouquets of flowers are only really viable when outsourced to a local florist as they don't travel well in the post, so our answer is the 'Flowering Plant' gift. These flowering plants are sent alongside a small hamper or gift basket of other goodies to make a lovely combination gift. 
A seasonal flowering plant such as a rose or a chrysanthemum in a pretty box is gift wrapped and decorated with a matching bow can been seen on our create your own site. The flowering plant price of £10.99 takes into account the plant itself and also the gift wrap, decoration and the larger box size required to ship it along with your chosen gift basket or hamper.
This particular gift item was hugely popular on Mother’s Day and I’m glad that we only have two per year, (UK and International) as it was very labour intensive getting all the lovely plants gift wrapped in time to be shipped out all over a period or 2 - 3 days. We did manage it however I’m glad to say, and they all looked really beautiful with their colour co-ordinated boxes, ribbons and bows. It was fun in the beginning going to the floral wholesaler and choosing which plants to send this year. Last year we chose nearly all roses, but we decided to ring the changes this year and go for beautiful assorted pink Azaleas.
The beauty with Azaleas and Roses is that once they have finished flowering they can be put into the garden or into a planter and they will bloom again and again. A constant reminder of the lovely gift from your loved one. We think this is better than cut flowers with a short life span.
