Normally most of us try to fend off the festive period until at least the start of December, but it seems like this year the rule book has gone out the window and Christmas is being embraced earlier than ever. Even before the Halloween stock had left the shelves you could see Christmas creeping in and for once most people didn't groan. I think this might be because we are having a Covid Christmas. Everyone is thoroughly fed up with 2020 & hoping that 2021  will be a much better year. We're all looking forward to a little bit of Christmas Cheer, and (all being well) time with our families and loved ones. We put our Christmas tree and decorations up yesterday, and when I was driving home I noticed more and more twinkly lights brightening these dark and dreary nights. For many of us November has meant more nationwide lockdowns and so we are finding our hampers are in high demand again, just like in March/April time. Combining lockdown with the usual seasonal demand has resulted in hundreds of corporate enquiries as well as many orders on the website for people sending to their friends and family. We are more organised than ever and working safely from our warehouse so are determined to continue serving the nation. This Covid Christmas will be very different however, and so we need your help. This year the delivery schedule cannot be the same as in previous years. In the past you have been able to select a preferred delivery date, and we deliver as close to this date at possible.Unfortunately this year the delivery network is 3 times busier than usual already, and so specific delivery dates cannot be guaranteed. We have been working to a weekly delivery schedule instead throughout this period and will continue to do so in the lead up to Christmas. You can see more information on our operations and delivery plan in our Covid-19 Announcement. With the network being so busy already we are also recommending shipping Christmas gifts earlier than normal, rather than the week before Christmas. As everyone is embracing the festive season early this year, we don’t think they will be disappointed either way.Our little BG Elves in the warehouse have been busy packing all your Christmas hampers so that they are in stock and ready to go in the next week or so. We've actually shipped quite a few already. As always, you can pick from Traditional Christmas Hampers, Modern Christmas Gift Baskets and Gourmet Food & Wine Hampers.
