Well it’s been a while since our last update and what a while it’s been! How many of you have become expert Zoom quizzers, banana bread makers and TikTok dancers? The team at Baskets Galore have of course, been plugging on through the chaos, to maintain our one true expertise in basket making. And make sure all our lovely customers are still able to send and receive a much needed pick-me-up when we all need it most. One thing that will forever stick with us throughout this crazy, crazy time is the overwhelming sense of community and care that everyone seemed to deploy. So we thought we would highlight and share some our favourite joy-filled gift baskets that were sent throughout the height of lock down. To remind us all that although we are separated by distance, we can still be there for each other in spirit. To keep celebrating life's wins, no matter how big or small. And to remember that this will pass and life will go on.
For protecting our loved ones
We start off with our top-selling, sweet grandmother themed basket. Purchased by a family all the way across the world in Australia. Their grandma was celebrating her birthday back home and although they couldn’t be with her to celebrate. They refused to let it pass without a big surprise to put a smile on her face! This basket is filled with cake, shortbread and chocolates to be enjoyed while sipping tea from her Special Grandma decorative mug. I know many of us are unable to see our parents and grandparents who may be shielding at the moment - even without thousands of miles and sea between us. Our next gift basket was selected from our best-selling Great Taste Award range. Which inspired our next customer from York - our newly crowned Boyfriend Of The Year! He decided to make the best of a bad situation while all the restaurants, bars and cinemas were closed. Like a true trooper, he didn’t let that stop him from spoiling his girlfriend. Instead, he went ahead and used our Great Taste Award Chrome Duo Hamper to create his very own date night in for him and his girlfriend to enjoy. Complete with wine, cheese, olives and truffles to share plus much more! We hope his girlfriend enjoyed her thoughtful surprise and we hope they had a lovely evening together! Remember when we couldn’t get through a week without having to participate in at least one virtual quiz?? Well our next customer reminds us to celebrate the joy even in even those little wins! I wish my quizzes resulted in gifts like this, although I don’t think my family could have handled any more competitiveness!
