Week 2 in September and we seem to be hurtling towards Christmas at an epic rate.  All our Christmas Hamper for 2019 have been added to the website over the last couple of weeks and are looking really great, if we do say so ourselves! The only  ones still to add are our Giant Christmas Hampers in the £250-£750 price bracket. We'll be very excited to see those. But enough about Christmas, lets take a look at some of the orders we were dispatching this week. Family Gift Baskets seemed to be the theme of the week.First up was this gorgeous Create Your Own Basket made for a special Mum. Inside they included drinking chocolate, popcorn, crisps, cookies and sweets. They also added a Grobox and themed the gift with a "Mum" mug. I always love seeing the gift baskets our customers create as it's nice to see some more unusual designs as well as all our popular pre-designed hampers and baskets being ordered. It can really help to personalise a gift when someone has created it especially for you.We were in need of an energy boost of Tuesday and this was the very basket to achieve it, High Energy Fruit Basket. Here we combine our fruit collections which emphasise energy and the release of energy along with a collection of chocolate products for an instant sugar rush. This particular one was ordered by an Auntie in New York to her niece in Cambridge. We aren't sure of their relationship but she wanted to let her know she is thinking of her and hoped the gift basket would help cheer her up.We hadn't seen the next gift basket, Train Spotting Gift Basket, ordered for a while as it was nestled away in a little corner of our website.  This is a cute little gift for a train lover as it comes with a miniature train and train track, all handily packed into a little tin. Along with this the recipient also gets crisps, nuts, chocolates, sweets, biscuits and a bottle of ginger beer to enjoy. This was ordered by a gentleman in Denmark for their Granny in Haslemere on her birthday.Next up was 90 Years Young for another Nana on her birthday, this time in Leamington Spa. I love the traditional theme of this basket with porridge, shortbread, fudge, toffees and sponge cake included. Then for fun there are some apple sticks and sweeties as well as the gorgeous "90 Years Loved" handmade sign. You can see in the image below how we can personalise the birthday cake with an age, so 90 on this occasion. This is a truly impressive gift basket due to it's sheer size and the amount of contents inside. It's actually quite hard to lift to position for the photograph, Ultimate Get Well For Him. It really has everything someone under the weather might desire for their recovery. Fruit, drinks, snacks, sweet treats as well as puzzles, jigsaws, a magazine, book and brain teasers to keep them entertained. This was ordered by a Mom & Dad in Nashville for their son who is studying in London & was feeling poorly. We're sure he was absolutely delighted to receive this enormous basket of goodies to cheer him up. We love how we can bring families together through a gift like this when they are physically apart. As you can see Family Gift Baskets are extremely popular as we had ones for Mums, Grandparents, Nieces, and Sons alone in this blog, not to mention all the hundreds of others we send to Dads, Nephews, Daughters, Grandchildren and Cousins.Sometimes these family members live many miles apart and sometimes the gift is ordered so they can take it when visiting said family member. Either way, delighted family is both your aim and ours.
