October arrived this week and with it came the colder weather, we've actually had to put the heating on in the office - brrr. By the time the afternoon arrives however, the temperature has gone up a few degrees and we can start shedding layers. Maybe we'll get lucky and experience an Indian Summer. I love the month of October as it's my little boy's birthday, it's a beautiful time of year in terms of colours and then it's the fun of Halloween. We have quite a colourful selection of our favourite gift baskets to show you this week, ranging from new baby gifts to get well gifts to birthday gift baskets for kids.First up we had Mummy, Daddy & Me Celebration Boy   and as you can maybe tell from the name, there is a little something for everyone inside. Baby receives a colourful organic cotton t-shirt and a developmental toy by Lamaze. Mummy receives some new mum bath soaks and a choice of chocolates. Dad can then share the chocolates and sparkling wine if she so chooses! This particular one was ordered by a group of colleagues to give to their colleague off on maternity leave. As well as gifts for grown ups we also cater for the younger generation and offer gift baskets for children. They are really popular as birthday and get well gifts from family members who perhaps live abroad or too many miles away. Construction Kid Boy features below and as you can see there are lots of things inside to keep a boy busy. Girls of course can also be sent this basket if they prefer dinosaurs to dollies. I know I loved playing cars with my brother when I was little. We simply indicate it might be more boy friendly in the majority of cases. This one was ordered by an Uncle in NSW, Australia for his little nephew back in Dublin. He wanted to wish him a happy birthday and said he was sorry he couldn't be home for it.Next up we have an example of a gift basket for girls, although again boys may also like it too if they are Frozen fans. This Toys For Girls Gift 5-7 Years was ordered by an Auntie in Virginia, USA for her niece living in West Drayton in the UK. She wanted to wish her a happy birthday and let her know that her 4 cousins miss and love her very much. Inside the delighted birthday girl will find a Frozen jigsaw & sticker book, pet themed construction sets, a hair accessories tin, a cuddly toy, sweeties and a chocolate lollipop. All presented in a pretty linen lined gift basket and cellophane wrapped. How exciting for a little child to receive and unwrap such a lovely present in the post. One of our most popular get well gifts is on display next, and is available in both for him and for her versions. This one is the Get Well Fruit Survival For Her. Ordered by a lady in the North West Territories in Canada for another lady in Milton Keynes. We aren't sure what their relationship is but the message was to say she is always thinking of her and that she loves and misses her. This is a perfect pick me up or get well soon gift as it includes a little bit of everything. Fresh fruit, biscuits, nuts, chocolates, fruit juices, puzzles, magazines and books.Friday was my day to choose and I went for one of our new birthday gifts baskets for her. I love that it is a little bit different and contains a fragrant indoor herb garden and a lovely wooden plaque featuring the slogan "It's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years." The lucky lady receiving this in Dover will hopefully enjoy her birthday even more as she digs into the birthday cake and all the other amazing goodies inside. As always this is just a small selection of what we have to offer. We try to bring you a different selection of gifts each week to give you some inspiration and to showcase the wide range we have on offer. We are also to help with bespoke gifts for most of the year, from January to November. In December it's all hands on deck for Christmas dispatches.
