So I may have gotten a little behind in terms of August's Daily Dispatch blogs, as I was lucky enough to go away with my little family on a lovely sunny holiday in Spain. I have come back revitalised and ready to go. Well OK maybe not revitalised as holidaying with a 5 and 2 year old is quite hard work, but I'm ready to go anyway! Beginning with some of our more unique and quirky, niche gift baskets.Wrapping up July and beginning August was the week of 29th July and it began with a gorgeous housewarming hamper  featuring. Our "Fancy New Home" comes complete with everything the new residents may require on their first few days in their new home. Such as tea, coffee, porridge, jam and marmalade for their first breakfast and some cake, biscuits and chocolates for elevenses. There is also some sparkling apple juice inside to toast to happy times ahead. To theme the gift as a new home hamper we have also include a handmade wooden sign featuring the slogan "Bless this house with love, friends and laughter" as well as an inspirational mug and "home sweet home" candle. This particular one was ordered by an Auntie in Michigan, USA for her nephew and his wife moving into their new home in Co. Antrim. The name of this gift basket says it all really, Glitz and Glam, full of sweet treats and all things girly such as charm bracelets, a make up tin and art designer set. This particular one was ordered alongside an Experimental Kid Gift Basket as a thank you present. It was from a family who had stayed with their friends during a visit to Harpenden. Their 2 young daughters sent these gifts to their friends son and daughter as a thank you for letting them stay.Chocolate is my weakness so this is my ideal Chocolate Celebration Gift Hamper as there are just so many varieties and brands to choose from. Chocolate bars, truffles, cake, waffles, fudge and sauce are just a few of the delicacies you will find inside. This was ordered as a "Good Luck" gift for a couple in the West Midlands from family abroad. Perfect for a romantic night in, in front of the TV before they head off on their travels together.Everyone deserves to be pampered once in a while and this pamper gift basket is the perfect way to make them enjoy some time out, Heavenly Pamper Gift Basket. This gift basket was ordered by a caring friend in St Kilda, Australia, for her friend back home in Galway, Ireland. She wished she could be home with her, but hoped this was the next best thing. Inside she will have discovered candles, bath melts, body butter, an eye mask and a big box of chocolates -perfect pampering pick me ups.I was selected the Basket of the Day on Friday, and as usual couldn't just go with one. Especially when these 2 I picked where being delivered to the 1 address for a new baby and her proud big brother. Our Dinosaur Discovery Basket really explains itself with a name like that doesn't it? Perfect for boys, or dino mad girls, age 5 years+. When I looked up the order it was placed by a company in New York and the message was actually a get well one for "the patients" so perhaps not a new baby gift after all, but a get well one for baba and her brother. As you can see the reasons for sending these gifts are more niche than the usual "Thank You" or "Congratulations" gifts. They are very specific in reasons and they want to convey their messages. Instead of a simple 'thank you', it was a 'thank you for letting us stay' and was sent between children rather than the parents. Instead of just 'Congratulations' it was 'Congratulations on your lovely new home', and 'Good Luck on your travels' and 'Wish I was there'. This is what you get when you order with BasketsGalore, that personal touch of someone selecting the perfect gift card to pass on your words and carefully assembling your gift of choice to go with it. A personal touch with a professional service is what we excel at.
