Father's Day in the UK falls on Sunday 17th June this year, which also happens to be my Birthday 😉 I'm not sure who deserves breakfast in bed more, but with our 2 young boys around I am guessing that neither of us will be benefiting! I always find it more difficult buying for men than for women, and you don't always want to give them socks all the time. With this in mind we've created a Father's Day Gift Guide. This features the Top 5 Gifts For Him as well as Father's Day Hampers.
1) Something Practical
Most Dads tend to appreciate a useful present, whereas women like to receive something more special rather than practical. Practical presents for men are great because you know they will get used. When asking around the office we have some good examples of practical presents in the form of a tool box and even a greenhouse! Practical presents are perhaps easier to arrange for those living close to their Dad as they can be sourced/collected locally.
2) Something Traditional
When we think of Gifts for Dads there are a few "old faithful" presents many turn to year after year, occasion after occasion. Socks, aftershave or a new tie immediately spring to mind. Going traditional is a safe bet, especially if your Dad is a bit averse to change, however receiving the same sort of gift for every occasion might start to get a bit old.
3) Something Edible/Drinkable
They say the way to a man's heart is via his stomach, so it's no surprise another favourite Gift For Him would be his favourite tipple, treats or vouchers for a meal out. A bottle of whiskey or box of chocolates are a really handy thing to grab in the supermarket and drop into your Father. Gift vouchers are particularly handy for posting or emailing if you don't live close to your Dad.
4) Something Do-able
Tickets to a show, concert or perhaps a comedian will also be a sure fire hit if you happen to know who your Dad listens to or finds funny. Again tickets are quick and easy to purchase online and send via post/email. If you happen to live close to your Dad you might even be invited along if you buy 2 tickets! Other "do-able" things could include a mini break, day trip or activity. Again all fairly easy to organise online, provided you know the available dates
5) Something Personal
If you are still finding it hard to choose then how about doing something different again? Combining all of the above into a really personal, Father's Day Hamper. Hampers for Dads may be food based, interest/hobby based, a combination or pamper/fun based. If you live locally to your Dad, you may decide to create your own Hamper or Gift Basket for him. This is usually more time consuming than people realise as as well as all the items to put into the Hamper or Basket you all need to source all the other components. Such as the container itself, basket filler/lining, cellophane, ribbon and also put it all together so that it looks presentable. If you aren't so local you don't want the worry of trying to arrange to box it and post it, and so this is where we can help.
Father's Day Hampers & Choices
For 2018, Baskets Galore have our biggest range of Father's Day Hampers yet. We do all the hard work of supplying all the packaging, contents and arranging the delivery. You can browse the full range here and then use the filters to narrow down the choice available, making it easy to find the perfect one. We then deliver the Hamper directly to your Dad/Grandad at a fraction of the price, especially for internationally based Customers trying to send it "back home".
As well as Father's Day Hampers (view) we have other Gifts and Ideas (view) such as Gift Boxes and Gift Baskets For Dad. Grandfather's aren't forgotten either with quite a few options available for Grandad too.
Our Father's Day Hampers are available all year round. Although the majority of countries celebrate in June, there are quite a few which celebrate in alternative months such as March (Source: Wikepedia) The UK & Ireland celebrate Mother's Day in March, whereas the majority of countries don't celebrate until May and so we keep our Gifts For Mums available for longer too.
In your search for Father's Day Hampers you may find other Hamper Suppliers. The difference with our Father's Day Hampers is that they have been especially designed with Dads in mind and for this very occasion. Rather than being a standard Hamper option with a token 'Dad' or 'Father's Day' bar of chocolate or cake stuck in. We also refresh our range every year so as our repeat customers can be sure their Dad is receiving a new combination every year.
You can order now & pick a delivery date closer to Father's Day, or we can deliver on a next day basis across the UK, Ireland and Europe. Delivery to home or business addresses is also not a problem for our express courier delivery service. Saturday delivery is also possible, but has higher costs associated with it. Where possible we recommend placing your order before 3pm the Thursday before Father's Day, for a Friday delivery. This way delivery is still at the weekday price and your Dad can enjoy his gift all weekend or store it for the big day on Sunday (if it's non-perishable of course!)
We look forward to being of service to you this Father's Day. If you have gone with another gift choice in our Top 5 Gift Guide then perhaps you'll remember us for next year, or for his Birthday.
