Surely it's not Mother's Day again already I hear you ask? But, yes, it is for many people around the world. This is because lots of countries celebrate on the 2nd Sunday in May, whereas in the UK & Ireland we celebrate on the last Sunday in March & so have already celebrated this year. Here are some of the countries who will be celebrating this Sunday:Anguilla, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Bermuda, Bonaire, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, Curaasao, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Grenada, Honduras, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Latvia, Malaysia, Malta, New Zealand, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Suriname, Switzerland, Taiwan, The Netherlands, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zimba. You will noticed that many of these countries are popular places for people from the UK and Ireland to emigrate to. We often find that they now celebrate Mother's Day in May instead, but their mum still lives "back home" and that is where we come in.

Our Mother's Day Gift Baskets are available to order for International Mother's Day, as well as for UK Mother's Day. Here are a couple of examples of our most popular gift baskets for mums, and grandmothers. Are you an ex-pat? Do you still celebrate Mother's Day on the original date you did, or have you adopted the new date?

Just to make things even more confusing, some countries have different dates again for Mother's Day. Roma tells us that Mother's Day in Lithuania was last Sunday (7th May) & so she organised a gift to be sent to her mum back home for it. Sylwia & Pawel are from Poland and when I asked them if they celebrate Mother's Day here now or on Poland's date of 26th May they joked both! Kate's Grandmother lives in Hong Kong and apparently she also gets 2 x Mother's Days, as some of her children still live there and so celebrate this weekend, while her other children celebrate it in March now. It's a great idea isn't it, making the most of it and getting 2 days of celebrations. After all, us mums deserve it!
