There's only about 10 weeks to go until baby no 2's arrival & my husband and I still don't have any definite, favourite names yet. Well ones we agree on anyway! And this isn't through like of thinking or trying. We've done the usual looking in baby books, baby name apps, websites and as we sell baby gift baskets I also scan our orders for name inspiration! We looked back at the names we had narrowed down for baby no 1, but still can't decide on anything for sure. Maybe we will just have to wait until we meet him or her.As we've kept the gender a surprise it's also difficult coming up with both girls and boys names, although we found boys names more difficult last time too. So I thought I would write about it here and ask you, our lovely readers, if you have any advice for selecting a baby name. How did you come up with yours and did you prefer traditional, modern, unisex or maybe a family name? Our surname is quite short and so we think we prefer the sound of 2 or 3 syllable names, our surname is also pronounced "Say" and so we had ruled out many vowel names like E, I, O and U as it would sound like "I Say"!I came across Rowan's name on a website and then a Mr Bean flyer landed on my desk at work the next day & so I thought it must be fate. (Mr Bean is played by Rowan Atkinson in case anyone doesn't get this connection!) I now see that Rowan is gaining popularity, but as a girls name instead. I like the idea of a name which isn't overly popular, but isn't too far out either. No easy task eh! I look forward to your help!mirror.co.uk mirror.co.uk
