Some necessary nourishment to last a day or two. Happy Birthday, Arthur.
That was the gift message on this Artisan Deli hamper.
I don't know about you but that would probably last me three days, not 1-2 days! I love the salmon, salami, bacon, cheese and oh so yummy gorgeous chocolates, biscuits and nibbles, but there is only so much I can fit into my tummy. Especially if it's a birthday because you have to make room for cake!
Now, one of our members of staff had recently moved house, so when I spotted a gift message sent by somebody wishing to thank their parents for helping them in the move, I can't help but smile and take a picture.
This lovely collection of award winning products is the Great Taste Award Silver hamper. From the looks of the delivery address to the sender's address, you can definitely appreciate why thanks was in order. Their parents lived in Harrogate and the senders' new address is in Edinburgh! Wow, I wonder if I moved that distance, would my parents come and help me...
Now, I was going to feature another hamper, but I figured rather than feature yet another Mega Cheesy Connoisseur hamper (I've covered this one more than once recently) which I'm wondering if it's experiencing a popularity boom because we featured it on our blogs so many times recently; I thought why not cover a hamper created by a customer instead? And I had the perfect one lined up!
Only to wander out after lunch to find that the hamper I wanted to take a photo of had turned into a very big basket instead?
Looking at it, it's completely understandable why the team decided to change it despite the sender choosing a hamper on his order. If we put the fruits into a hamper. No matter how much you try to protect it, there is a risk of them moving around in the protective shred and we can't have the pineapple squashing the grapes and apricots, right? Also, it's just not that much of a wow factor to have to dig through protective shred for the fruit, you might prick a finger on the spiky leaves of the pineapple as you rummage through for the hidden goodies. What IS a wow factor though is if the fruit were beautifully presented and bursting with life and colour as you open the delivery box. Perfect!
