Here at Baskets Galore we include flowering plants in some of our gift ranges such as for get well, birthday and sympathy gifts. Our most popular house plants include Chrysanthemums, Azaleas, Gerberas and Roses and it was pleasing to see that the first three of these are on the list of plants which are considered healthy ones to share your home with.Chrysanthemum blooms filter out benzene found in glue, paint, plastics and detergents. They love the light and are so colourful that you can buy one to match your decor.  Azaleas combat formaldehyde from plywood or foam insulation.  They can stand cooler temperatures but should be misted regularly.  Gerberas are effective in removing Trichloroethylene and in filtering benzene.  Roses. however, though not on the list, are just so beautiful that they bring pleasure and joy to any home!Other plants on the list, which you may wish to have in your home are a Peace Lily which removes acetone, benzene, alcohol and ammonia. Weeping fig which helps filter out pollutants such as formaldehyde, benzene and trichloroethylene. Spider plants which battles benzene, formaldehyde, carbon-monoxide and xylene. Rubber plants which rank highly for eradicating formaldehyde and English Ivy which reduces airborne fecal particles and also formaldehyde. Bathroom perhaps? Lastly you might wish to consider the Snake Plant which I know of as Mother-in-laws tongue which is one of the best for filtering out formaldehyde and also absorbs carbon dioxide and gives out oxygen at night so is good for a bedroom. I had one of these for years and it grew until near the ceiling. Now that I know these properties I am definitely getting another one.You may well find some of these plants are an addition to our range in the future, not only do they look great as part of your gift basket but they can help to keep you healthy!
