Fun New Video Software Bringing Gift Baskets To Life

Over the last year or so we have been trying to create more videos of behind the scenes at BasketsGalore. We feel these help our customers to get an insight into the company; how we operate and create your gift baskets and also puts a face to the same so to speak. We want you to feel completely confident in choosing BasketsGalore as your gift supplier. We realise this can be a little daunting, especially if you are living on the other side of the world and are relying on us to deliver the perfect gift on time. We've been around since 2001 and have successfully delivered thousands of gifts over the years so you can count on us.

At the moment we create videos in-house. We've had talented students working on them, and we also help direct and give inspiration for them. However, filming and editing videos takes up A LOT of time , which of course is required for the longer, more detailed website videos. But what about when we want to show you quick clips or put together something fun for social media?

I got searching for an easy-to-use piece of software that would allow me and my colleagues to simply insert still images or video clips into a choice of templates/designs and add some text and music. What did I find that could do all this? An amazing tool called Animoto. You can use if for free if you don't mind the watermark, or want to try it out. Then you can upgrade to be a business user for example. Within a couple of hours I had created our first video, about our new Great Taste Award range of gift hampers. Not the most exciting story, but I just wanted to try it out. Now I have to get my thinking cap on and come up with some really shareable, useful content!

We also had a meeting with the lovely Amy this week, a local photographer. We discussed her coming in to get images and footage of BasketsGalore in full flow this Christmas time, with the plan being to create some marketing materials and videos for the website. It's all hands on deck dispatching orders in December so we don't really have the time or resources in-house to capture everything we need at that time of year. We look forward to seeing what she can come up with!
