Cheese is one of the best-selling items in our gift baskets so we were sure to have plenty of stock for the Christmas rush, and again now for upcoming occasions such as Mother's Day and St Patrick's Day. We currently stock cheeses by Bandon Vale, Carrigaline, Cahill's and the Cheshire Cheese Company. They come in a variety of flavours and textures, although we tend to favour the harder, wax wrapped cheeses in gift baskets (so as they arrive perfectly with the recipient.)It got me thinking about some of the best ways to enjoy cheese & after writing this blog I'm now extremely hungry!1) Cheese On ToastA classic, but still a favourite. Many people enjoy it plain or maybe spice it up with some more exotic cheese types. My favourite way to enjoy cheese on toast is a plainer cheese, but with a little bit of Worcestershire sauce and slices of fresh tomato on top!cheese on toast2) Cheesey PizzaAgain this classic can be enjoyed in the plainer Margherita or Four Cheese styles or the possibility of toppings is nearly endless. I tend to favour a good old pepperoni pizza.cheezy pizza3) Cheesey PastaLasagne or cheesey pasta bakes make excellent comfort food and you can basically stick any flavour of cheese you want in there & it will taste amazing.cheesy-baked -pasta_med4) Cheesy VegetablesCheesey vegetable bakes are a great way to dress up vegetables...I mean it even makes cauliflower taste good!cheesey veg5) CheeseboardRather than cooking with cheese it can simply be enjoyed alongside a selection of crackers, oatcakes, chutneys and grapes.cheese boardMany of our cheese themed gift baskets contain all the ingredients you will need to have your own cheeseboard at home, so you can send a cheesey meal in a basket!
