Size Matters (When It Comes To Baby Clothes)

Babies come in all shapes and sizes as we are all too aware. Here at BasketsGalore we ran a Facebook campaign, on our Virtual Parenting page, guessing the weight Sylwia's baby was going to be. The result? No-one even came close. Kubus weighed in at an impressive 10lb 3.5oz (the average weight is 7lb 8oz) and considering his mum is a petite size 8/10 we couldn't believe it either.For this reason, it can be tricky for the Baby BasketsGalore Team when purchasing and designing baby baskets. As our gift baskets are chiefly sent as a gift we tend to err on the side of caution and include larger sizes in clothing items and shoes. These come in sizes 0 - 3 months, 0 - 6 months and 3 - 6 months, all perfect for awaiting the day they will soon fit. Having quite a lot of experience ourselves with new babies we find that new mums usually have the first size babygrows and vests already bought, and these are really all that is essential for baby during the short time from the early days until they are ready to meet their public.Our brand named clothes are from Olive & Moss, Nature's Purest, Frugi and Steiff and are all beautifully soft pure & often organic cotton. Our softest leather shoes are from Inch Blue. Rest assured that these items will fit & be received beautifully.
