This Christmas our Brady's Traditional Ham was so popular that many customers where requesting it for their gifts in the New Year. Traditionally we only offer the Brady's Ham during the festive period, with both a large cooked ham or a pack of crumbed cooked ham.
Throughout the year we don't offer this ham but instead offer Connemara's Air Dried Ham, the meat is slow cured for weeks using local herbs and then hung to dry. It is smoked over beach chips for one day to give the distinctive, yet delicate flavour.
The advantage with both of these products is that they are both ready to eat, which is great when giving them as a gift. Although they are similar they are also different, in the fact that they both have different tastes and textures.
With the popularity of the Brady's Traditional Ham at Christmas, it got us thinking whether we should offer the Brady ham throughout the year along with the Connemara ham. It would mean that our Gift Basket & Gift Hamper ranges would have a new taste and texture option to allow for more diverse selection of gifts.
