I was lucky enough to be invited on a hen party to Marbella in July and I must say we had an absolute ball. We were there for 4 days in total, so had 2 party days and 2 more refined days of posh food & wine!I was sharing a room with one of the bridesmaids and her suitcase was bursting open. Not only with all her outfits for the hen do, but also an assortment of party decorations , willy straws and barbie transfers for the hens themed t-shirts.They had decided to have the theme night on the first night we arrived and so we had to dash out to the shops to get some sweets, crisps, nuts and something fizzy to wash everything down with! We then decorated the room with banners, balloons and a naked butler - cheeky before bringing the guest of honour in for a game of Mr & Mrs.This made me think of how handy it would be to have the apartment pre-stocked with goodies, but this is obviously difficult to do when you are not somewhere local. In previous years BasketsGalore created a special range of Hen Night/Hen Weekend gift baskets and we wondered if perhaps now would be a good time to introduce a new selection? Here is what our 2010 range looked like (below). They included chocolates, sweeties, lollipops, crisps, west coast cooler and sparkling rosé wine to toast with. They were also themed with a "bride to be" sash and fluffy 'L' plates. They proved to be popular with bridesmaids wanting to have something there already for when the group of hens arrived, or with friends who were unable to attend the hen do but still wanted to join in the celebrations by sending a gift.At the minute our chocolate/candy and champagne baskets are popular for hen parties, but we also have hen party photo albums and other hen-related goodies we could add if we were to create a special range again. So what do you think ladies? Would you buy or like to receive a hen night gift basket from your hens?
