Baskets Galore Explores The Tastes Of The Mediterranean With Olives Et Al
This time last year I was in the stunning but hot Crete, staying in the beautiful and quaint village of Koutouloufari. I spend the majority of my time either relaxing pool side or sightseeing. One of my main highlights of the holiday was visiting Spinalonga which was amazing, even just looking at it from afar on the boat was breath taking and I think you will agree with me on that one. Below is the gorgeous view (just look at the colour of the sea) from the boat as you pulled up to the island.
Talking about highlights, I just have to mention the amazing food, I loved the range of restaurants and how fresh the food was especially the fish and of course the delicious olives. It seems as though my experience with the Mediterranean is the same as Giles and Annie from Olives Et Al, falling in love with the food and trying desperately to recreate it. Thankfully I can just sit back and enjoy the lovely gourmet range of olives they produce.Olives Et Al is a gourmet food company which specialise in olives and other delicious Mediterranean snacks. Giles and Annie decided in September 1992 to take two bikes and travel around the whole of the Mediterranean basin, their adventures sound amazing but the one that makes me the most jealous is them watching the New Year dawn from the top of Mount Sinai. As they went from city to town to village, they collected recipes, and used these to create their first jar of authentic olives in October 1993. What makes Olive Et Al different, is the passion they put into making their products as exquisite and good for you as the food they tasted on their memorable adventures.
