Yes chocolate and pizza maybe aren't top of the list of things that would go nicely together, however having said that I recently tried a Nutella Pizza and it was amazing! Obviously there was no cheese or tomato in sight though, only pizza base and melted Nutella chocolate - mm!
However, someone somewhere came up with the idea of pizza shaped chocolate.
When we received samples of these pizza's we just fell in love with the idea straight away.
You can have whole pizzas or pizza slices in various delicious flavours such as honeycomb, lemon meringue and strawberry and champagne. There are also pizzas for specific occasions such as birthday, thank you and congratulations. They even come complete in a pizza box!
We have started off by trialling a generic pizza slice and whole pizza and are pleased to say that they have proved to be a hit in our gift baskets!
I wanted to find out a little bit more about the background to the company & so spoke to another lovely Andrea Bradbury, the Sales Account Manager for the Gourmet Chocolate Pizza Company.
"The Gourmet Chocolate Pizza Company was started by Helen Ellis approximately 7 years ago. She initially started making the chocolate pizzas in her own kitchen, then as the years have progressed, it flourished into a thriving business which now employs 10 staff at our premises in Cotgrave, Nottingham.
All of our products are all lovingly handmade with the finest quality Belgian chocolate and our ingredients are all free from artificial colouring and preservatives. We only sell directly to high end retailers, so we will never be present in any Supermarket chains."
We hope you agree that they help to make our gifts that little bit more fun, unique and interesting. If you've tried one then please do get in touch with your thoughts.
