Today was taste-testing day in the office - yey! This is the day that everyone really enjoys because it means that on our tea break we get an extra little treat.
We are currently running a special promotion for customers who buy a basket from ourselves before the end of February. Every order receives a complimentary box of Skelligs Chocolate Truffles (200g). Because of this we thought we would test the chocolates for ourselves and give you some feedback on what we all thought.
First, a little bit of background on the manufacturers - Skelligs Chocolate Company based in St Finian's Bay, County Kerry, Ireland. Skelligs produce artisan chocolates by hand and are very proud to still being doing so as they grow. It means the chocolates taste absolutely amazing! It takes about 5 days to produce each batch of truffles, a real labour of love but definitely worth it!
They produce many varieties of chocolates, but the 3 we include in our luxury gift baskets are detailed below.

The lucky ducks who got to taste the chocolates ended up favouring the mint ones by a small margin, but all agreed that both lots were delicious!
We would love to hear from any of you out there who have perhaps received these chocolates as part of your gift basket. What did you think?
Some of the opinions in the office were;
Selina told me that generally her favourite chocolate would be milk chocolate, but in this case of Skellig's she thinks the darker chocolate tastes great.
Jonny was on his lunch break when he picked his chocolates, he said “The mint was a bit overpowering for my tastes". I thought this was quite funny considering he was eating fish & chips covered in vinegar! I'm surprised the mint chocolate would have been affected.
Lynne "just loves these chocolates". She admitted to us today she had a box last night while she was catching up on the TV Soaps.
I think these chocolates are of very high quality as they literally melt in your mouth.
So remember our "Great Luxury Chocolate Truffle Giveaway" is valid for every basket ordered until 1st March 2014.
I hope you enjoy yours as much as we did.
