As you know at BasketsGalore there is the option to create your own gift basket of goodies, if you can't find one that is just right for the recipient you have in mind.
We've had some unusual requests in the past, such as for a basket full of lemons (for a particularly bitter person we were told!) Another customer noticed that we sold Dulse Cheese, but they wanted actual Dulse (seaweed) to go with it & we managed to source a pack for them. Another that springs to mind was a lady in Australia wanting to send a 'Christmas meal in a hamper' so we sourced tinned vegetables, potatoes and ham to add to one of our Gourmet Christmas Hampers which already contained Christmas pudding, mince pies and cake etc.
You could say we are "happy to accommodate" more unusual requests. We've even ordered in a James Bond Box Set for a customer's father and sent it along with a Christmas hamper. However, sometimes our customers create really unusual gift baskets based on the many items already available on our website.
Recently a client named Brett's selection grabbed our attention as he had selected 12 toy bunnies along with lollipops, fruit, salmon, cheese, crackers and popcorn! He even emailed us to confirm he had meant to pick 12 bunnies and we could see from his gift card message it was for his daughter who was missing her own toy bunny. He mentioned in his email to 'please make it look nice' and to even 'add to it' if he hadn't selected enough items to make it look good.
The packaging team took a quick picture of how the basket looked before they wrapped it up, and really enjoyed getting creative by making some paper carrots to accompany the bunnies on their journey! To fill any gaps we included some complimentary extra treats such as some packs of Lindt Chocolate Teddy Bears. Here is how it turned out:
We emailed this photo to Brett this evening, so we hope he enjoys seeing what he has created. What do you think?
If you would like to see how the gift basket you created turned out then please just drop us an email at the time of placing your order. We can then request for a picture to be taken, where possible, & email you a copy.
Otherwise if the recipient sends us a picture of them receiving their basket they are entered into a draw to win more goodies as a thank you.
