On the run up to the festive season, many of our Baskets Galore Gift Baskets and Hampers will be
winging their way to all corners of the UK. With this in mind, we in the office began discussing what
our favourite things are about Great Britain, specifically England.
An example of our luxurious Christmas Hampers we will be sending across the UK;
We had a very wide range of answers from everyone in the office, and I was very surprised with the
diversity of ideas and suggestions I received! Below I have compiled a list of the 5 best answers from each member of the Baskets Galore team.
Neil, the Baskets Galore Director mostly has 2 things in the forefront of his mind at all times; the smooth running of the Baskets Galore company and his love of traveling, ranging from short trips to various parts of the UK to further afield. This interest is reflected in Neil’s answers quite clearly, depicting his business mindset.
#1 - Scale and size of UK business & industry; cheaper than Irish and US alternatives
#2 - Tolerance of British people to cultural diversity
#3 - Weather becomes warmer the farther South you go
#4 - Cental positioning to reach Europe or fly to anywhere worldwide
#5 - English Motorways are excellent in terms of logistics and transport for business
Our Social Media director, Jade, mainly has 2 interests; keeping up with the latest fashion and entertaining her son. This comes across in her answers as well as you can see below, with her mentioning the world famous English Premier League football competition (influenced by her son, no doubt!).

Within our administration department, Kate and Roma provided some very interesting, and
Kate definitely came up with some cool responses, I think her love of exotic foods
comes into play a bit here as well!

#2 - Pubs and clubs open late (up to 6am!)
#3 - English accent differs so much by region and city
#4 - Opportunities to work in many different fields & pursue any work related ambitions

#1 - Sushi which isn’t extortionately expensive
#2 - Free newspapers
#3 - Shopping very stress-free compared to other countries with minimal queuing
#4 - English currency is easy to work with and bank notes have a lovely design
#5 - English Airports
Finally it fell to the IT department, myself and Simon, to come up with 5 ideas yet that hadn’t yet
been covered, which is harder than it sounds, believe me! Simon went down the very traditional
English route, presenting some glaringly obvious answers which I was astounded hadn’t been

Personally, I think our team did very well to come up with such a diverse and interesting set of
facts and opinions about England.
