As tastes evolve, new products emerge and customers constantly ask for new innovative products, so Basketsgalore must amend its selection of chocolate baskets and hampers on an almost daily basis.
Currently our top 3 chocolate suppliers in no particular order are Lindt Chocolate, Skelligs and James' Chocolates. So we have a European giant, an up and coming artisan hand made producer from Europe's most westerly chocolate company and an imaginative handmade chocolate designer from Britain, who is able to give many of our baskets that quirky imaginative touch, yet at the same time exude quality with its taste and packaging.
We also buy significant quantities from a number of other companies around the UK and Ireland including Butlers of Dublin, the House of Dorchestor Chocolate Company in Dorset, England, Lily O'Brien's and Zeina Foods.

Lindt Chocolate
Cocoa
The heart of the finest chocolate is, of course, the finest cocoa, and knowing which of the many cocoa beans will contribute to the distinctive fine LINDT taste is a skill that our Master Chocolatiers have perfected. They select the finest beans from the best plantations around the world to create the unique blend that gives LINDT chocolate its distinctive taste and texture.
Roasting
The art of roasting is one that must be mastered, in order to realise the delightful chcolate flavour that is present within the cocoa bean itself. Most importantly, the LINDT Master Chocolatiers belong to a group who still roast these premium raw materials in their own facilities.
Conching
If there is one quality that makes LINDT chocolate so exceptionally good, it would be the smooth melting sensation. Rodolphe Lindt created a process known as conching which revolutionised the way chcolate is made. To this day the LINDT Master Chocolatiers use this process hence why every piece of LINDT chocolate has that smooth melting sensation.
Skelligs:
About Skelligs Chocolate
As far as we are aware Skelligs Chocolate Co is the most westerly chocolate company in Europe. We have been producing our award winning chocolates for more than 10 years and we still have the same passion now as we did then. We are situated at St. Finian's Bay, in South West Ireland and have some of the most spectacular views in the country, and look directly over the Skelligs' Rocks themselves.
Our passion has enabled us to win many Great Taste Awards over the years for our creations, including our Brandy Plums and Apricot Amarettos. It takes about 5 days to produce each batch of truffles and we are proud to create them in the same artisan fashion we always have. We welcome visitors to watch the process and enjoy the sampling…..
We can make more than 60 different varieties of truffles and rotate our flavours with the seasons. Violet & Champagne for spring, Raspberry & Coconut for summer and Hot Toddy (Whiskey & Chilli) in winter.
James Chocolates
My name is James Hutchins and like you, I love really good chocolate. That’s why, a few years ago, I started handmaking chocolates. Using the best chocolate from around the world including a variety of single origins as well as our own secret blends we mix and blend many different chocolate creations.
Whether you feel like spoiling yourself or someone else, we make something for everyone. For a taster, try our smaller bars or if you’re looking for the ultimate gift, we have luxury boxes of pralines and highly original chocolate present ideas. And children love our chocolate frogs, pigs and bunnies.
Each of these companies brings something different to the chocolate within our hampers and gift baskets. We thought long and hard about including Lindt into our range on the basis of its market penetration in the UK, but on the basis of taste and quality, they simply couldn't be excluded.
Our objective is to create the best and tastiest gift baskets in the world. So we're constantly looking to improve our chocolate range. If there is a particular type of chocolate that our customers like we will endeavour to include it in our range.
