HAMPERS DELIVERED IN UK ONLY

Basketsgalore is a low cost online retailer, which assembles your gift basket on site for delivery throughout Britain and the United Kingdom UK
Customers shopping with BasketsGalore are purchasing direct from the producers and their order will be processed entirely on site.

Basketsgalore does not drop ship nor does it allow its products to be drop shipped on any site in the UK or any online site outside Britain or Europe.

This means that the customer is kept informed about the status of their order at all times via our online tracking system.

The way we work is to minimise wasteage and maximise our resources most effectively in order to cope with the avalanche of orders. We have never over traded in our history so have never had to let any customers down with just a few days to go before Christmas. We assemble a massive range of gourmet gift hampers but only make a small quantity of each. We price them low and only advertise online. When the sold out sign goes up, it is usually so close to Christmas that there isn't time to assemble any more.

A general rule is that our customers want their basket to arrive as close to Christmas as is possible without being late.

This Information pertains only to UK HAMPERS. Those hampers delivered within the UK.

This year we are very lucky as Christmas Day 2009 falls on a Friday. We will begin dispatching hampers from the start of December for those requesting early delivery in the UK including many of our larger corporate customers.
In week 2 we take delivery of the salmon and cooked ham. The reason it is so late is to leave as long a shelf life as is possible beyond Christmas Day.
In week 3 we advance the dispatch of the non ambient temperature hampers to the start of the week. This means that there is time to intervene and organise re-delivery should a hamper be diverted or if the person is not home.
Towards the end of the week, we will halt the dispatch of hampers which require ice packs and switch to ambient temperature dispatch.
In the final week, we work 24 hours a day over the weekend to ensure that the vast majority of orders remaining are shipped to the UK on Monday.
During this time orders are still coming in, usually from customers who have been let down at the last minute by other hamper providers in Britain. Unfortunately such customers tend to have a slightly more limited choice, but we can still usually accommodate them, except in exceptional circumstances when the processing of such late orders could jeapardise our ability to honour existing orders.

We are a small company specialising in fantastic gift baskets and exceptional gourmet hampers. And the above is a general guide to how we are going to organise the arrival of the best gift baskets and hampers in the UK at Christmas time in 2009.

Look forward to hearing from you.
