Congratulations Gift Ideas
'Congratulations' is defined as “an expression of praise for an achievement or good wishes on a special occasion”. Most people will be congratulated for at least one reason, and many on lots of occasions throughout their lives.
When we think of congratulating someone, it is a happy time and so it's easy to picture a celebration and popping corks. Many people wish to congratulate friends and family, but they may not be able to do so in person.
This is why we created congratulations gift baskets that include champagne or sparkling wine and yummy food to share. These gifts can be delivered directly to the person or family, and will be full of delicious items for them to enjoy.
A congratulations card is also included with the basket, so a special message can be included for the recipient. We do get some quite risqué messages that raise a smile in the office! A particular one that springs to mind accompanied an anniversary gift basket. It went along the lines of telling the recipients to especially enjoy the chocolate spread during their very own carpet picnic, after the kids had gone to bed!
Top occasions for congratulating someone include a landmark birthday, such as on an 18th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th birthday etc. The Admin team think people reaching their 80th, 90th and 100th birthdays should be particularly congratulated and so often include a special birthday card for them!
'Happy Retirement' is another popular occasion and champagne and treats are certainly deserved in this case, they have worked for it after all!
A 'congratulations on your new home' hamper can be practical as well as thoughtful. You can say congratulations with a gourmet food hamper full of luxurious items sure to spoil, such as creamy cheese, chutney, crackers, nuts, chocolates, cakes, biscuits and fresh fruit. Useful items such as tea, coffee, preserves and condiments can also be included.
We also often send congratulations hampers for people wishing to say 'well done' to someone on their exam results, graduation, new job (or for quitting a job they were unhappy in), gaining a promotion or on passing their driving test (on the 5th attempt!)

I have asked the boys in the office what unusual occasions they can remember congratulations gifts being ordered for. The girls in the office remember many famous (and not-so-famous) people receiving baskets to congratulate them on recent TV appearances. Their joint favourite was when a famous (and fit!) explorer received a basket to congratulate him on completing (and surviving) a dangerous expedition! The other was when the cast of a movie all received gift baskets to congratulate them on their filming success. A female staff member (who shall remain anonymous!) wanted to slip her telephone number into one particular brooding film stars gift card!
