We recently received an email from Sarah in Cork, asking for our help in sourcing not one, but two toy mice.Reading further on into her email it turned out that she had received one of our baby gift baskets when her twins were born last year, and the girls had become very attached to the little cuddly "mice" that were inside it. We immediately knew the toy she meant was from the Gund Mini Meadow plush set, as there was a mouse, cat, bunny and teddy available originally. As the mice were the girls' favourite toys, they had become a bit worn over the months as they went everywhere with them! Sarah was also worried about losing one and so had been looking for "back-ups" on the Gund website. When she couldn't find them there she got in touch with us. We explained they were a discontinued item now & so it would just be whether we still had any left in stock. We don't usually dispatch items on an individual basis, as we're only set up for sending larger, gift basket parcels. However, being mums ourselves we understood the stress this can cause & so were happy to make an exception and help out. That was until disaster struck...we had no mice left!Lauren broke the bad news, but explained we did have a similar teddy - a little cat in the yellow dress. Sarah then replied to tell us she was laughing as the "mice" actually were indeed the cat in the yellow dress! She had just been calling them "mousey" as they were a grey colour. So success, we had 2 of the teddy she needed after all & we shipped these to her in Cork. She got in touch to let us know they had arrived & sent us this gorgeous photo of one of the girls with her "tiddy."
"We got the teddies today. Thank you again for your help. I really appreciate it. And if the girls could talk I'm sure they would say thank you for including their best buddies in the basket too. They don't let them out of their sight."
