Baskets Galore’s Customer Gifts – Gift Hampers 24.03.16
Just before I wandered into the warehouse today, I had to organise a special Saturday delivery for a corporate client. While we were booking in with the couriers for the delivery of her hamper, we noticed that one of the address was going to a Chinese restaurant in Canterbury. The problem was, Saturday deliveries tend to happen in the morning, but typically a Chinese restaurant, especially a locally owned one, do not open until something closer to 4 or 5 pm. So, with the permission from the sender, we decided to give the recipients a call to check if they would prefer us to send to a different address.I think it was from the very first Christmas working in Baskets Galore when I got an order to be delivered to a Chinese Supermarket, from that point on, I had realised and resigned myself to one day needing to speak Chinese on the phone with a customer. Well, the day had come! It was a lot harder than I thought! I felt so unprofessional as my mind scrambled for the right words to say whilst the lady on the phone had a screaming child in the background.Somehow or the other, I managed though and everything is fine and dandy. She is looking very forward to receiving her hamper. What is it you ask? Take a look:
Now doesn't that look tempting as ever? It's an Old England hamper, designed for corporate team sharing in mind. I guess in this case, they would be sharing with the restaurant staff. Loaded with cupcakes, muffins, cookies and lots and lots of chocolate, I'm sure the recipients would be in for a surprise. Now the key problem - do you have this with traditional breakfast tea or Chinese tea? Hmmmm....Onto the next hamper, let's go for something a bit more gourmet.
Oh yum, this looks so good! (Note to self, writing dispatch blogs before my lunch break makes me VERY hungry) This Artisan Twin Scran hamper was ordered by Sinead (London, UK) for Eileen (Kilkenny, IE) as an Easter gift. Yes, there is no Easter egg, but not everybody likes Easter eggs, right? Personally, I would much prefer this delightful gift of salmon, ham and gorgeous salami instead. Delish!Then, right beside it, we have this beauty.
Less meats, but more other yummy goodies. This Great Taste Award Large Bronze hamper is going to a family in Ireland. Containing a great selection of award-winning products, coupled with ham, salmon and cheeses alongside two bottles of wine. I cannot think of an occasion that this hamper would not be suitable for. The only way to make it more perfect is if it's bigger, maybe? But then that's what the Silver, Gold and Platinum hampers are for, right?
