Healthy New Products From The Foods of Athenry
The Foods of Athenry is a family business, run by the Lawless Family, set among the famous rolling Fields of Athenry in the west of Ireland. Back in 2004 they began baking and now the country air is filled with the delicious, tempting scents of fresh baking. In 2011 a Gluten free facility was added with an all-natural, additive free range packed full of premium ingredients. Over the years 38 Great Taste Awards have been awarded to many of their products.
Here at Baskets Galore we taste-tested a fabulous variety of these lovely products and found it very difficult to narrow our choice down to but a few. Finally we settled on Cookie Shots Brownies, The Works Flapjacks, Honeyed Almond & Rosemary Toasts, Cranberry & Hazelnut Soda Bread Toasts and Very Berry High Omega Granola to include in our Baskets and Hampers.The Works Flapjacks mini bites are gluten & wheat-free oat flapjacks made with pure oats, butter and with 'the works' mixed in ie; choc chips, sunflower seeds, cranberries, sultanas and coconut. Deliciously moreish, a fibre filled powersnack in a convenient resealable bag. This product comes with a Great Taste Award.
The Works FlapjacksCookie Shots Brownies are gluten free, wheat free, dairy free and suitable for Vegans. A delicious chocolatey mini cookie made with the finest cocoa that literally melt in your mouth. Each little morsel is only 18 calories and they are packed in a convenient resealable pack.
Cookie Shots BrowniesHoneyed Almond & Rosemary Toasts are Gluten free and Wheat Free. These twice baked, yeast free soda-bread toasts are the perfect accompaniment to the well dressed cheese board. These nutty and herby crackers are fantastic on their own, but magnificent with a mature cheddar cheese.
Honeyed Almond & Rosemary ToastsCranberry & Hazelnut Soda-Bread toasts are a sweet and nutty cracker that is just as excellent with cheese-nutty, fruity and fabulous. This is definitely my particular favourite. Also gluten free, wheat free and with a Great Taste Award.
Cranberry & Hazelnut Sodabread ToastsFinally we have the Very Berry High Omega Granola which is also Gluten and Wheat Free. Here at Basketsgalore we have our Breakfast and Brunch Baskets and we feel that this product would be perfect to star in these. Buckwheat, Millet & Brown Rice Flakes toasted with milled Flax for a high omega Boost, and combined with cinnamon juice infused cranberries, blueberries and cherries, sultanas, almonds and seeds. Gently sweetened with honey and no refined sugar. a healthy start to the day. You could eat your granola with a splash of milk, sprinkled on yogurt with some chopped, fresh fruit, or just straight from the pack! Try a spoonful in the mix when baking muffins, flapjacks, or crumbles for a crunchy omega boost.
